The Friends of Bushmead School, or FOBS as it is more commonly known, is the Parent Teacher’s Association. All parents are automatically members of it and it is run by a team of volunteers drawn from the parents and staff within the school. Fund raising events include quizzes, discos and the Summer Fun Day. Information about events is circulated through the school with a letter for each child. All parents of pupils attending the school are welcome to join the committee, which usually meets in the evening at school about every four weeks during term time. If you are unable to help on the committee there are many other ways of helping at events as detailed in newsletters. Please bear in mind that Bushmead is a very large school and events sell out very quickly.

Quiz Night (ADULTS ONLY) On Friday 16th October, Mr Thorpe will once again step into his Quiz Master shoes to host the FOBS Quiz night. This is a great night out for parents and friends and an ideal time to prove your cleverness to the rest of the school. Teams can be up to 8 people and tickets cost £2.50 each. There is normally high demand for this event, so get your tickets early. On the night, feel free to bring your own refreshments and drink. There is a prize for the winning team.

FINALLY - THANK YOU
A big THANK YOU to members of the FOBS committee who help organise and run the fundraising events. All the committee have other commitments in their lives, but willingly give of their time to support all the children in the school.
